Big Brother’s Grace and Mikey still happily married 14 years after meeting on show
Grace Adams-Short and Mikey Dalton have shown that the Big Brother house could be a hotbed for romance.
The pair met during series seven and fell in love and 14 years later they are still happily married and have three children.
With so many desperate to spark romance in front of the cameras, to give them a storyline and a hook for viewers to vote them through to the final, it is rare for two people to actually fall in love.
There was no showmance for Grace and Mikey, who look back on their time in the infamous house with fondness, despite Grace leaving in spectacular fashion by throwing a glass of water over fellow housemate Susie Verrico.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Grace said that she “absolutely loved every second of it,” and without doubt the highlight of her time in the house was “meeting my husband, the daddy of our three munchkins.”
While they both said that there was an immediate attraction, Grace admitted “it was kind of like a holiday romance. We just enjoyed it really and everything we did since then has felt right for us.”
The Big Brother experience not only found her a life partner, it also gave her the money to set herself up with a home and a business, which has since made her a millionaire.
After the show, Grace said she invested in property in both London and Liverpool as well as setting up a performing arts school, which she branched out across the country.
Grace admitted that “I would never of been able to buy a quarter of a million pound flat in London by myself at the age of 20,” if hadn’t been for her appearance in the Big Brother house.
She is now looking forward to the next chapter in her life after selling the performing arts schools for millions.
Grace said she is “now embarking on my next adventure.”
